FOUNDERS
Kim Fiedler
In the world of design, there are those who follow trends… and those who define them. With more than 25 years of experience in management and development, Kim Fiedler falls into the latter category. His career, marked by an impeccable engineering background and a natural instinct for design, has led him to lead projects that merge aesthetics, functionality, and quality with rare mastery.
From 2012 to 2023, he was CEO and partner of Nine United TAK in China, where he fostered the presence of four iconic design brands—HAY, &Tradition, Frandsen, and Verpan—across the Asia-Pacific market. His strategic vision and passion for contemporary furniture redefined standards and brought Scandinavian design to a global audience.
- Today, as Co-Founder and Director of Furniture Development at SMUKT, he channels this experience to create pieces that transcend time: furniture that's not just a look, but a feel; that inhabits a space with soul, and that speaks to an absolute commitment to craftsmanship and enduring design.
Wendy Fiedler
Wendy Caporalli is a Mexican designer whose work transcends borders, fusing culture, craft, and emotion to create memorable spaces.
For nearly two decades, she lived in Asia—Shanghai, India, and Southeast Asia—collaborating with leading creatives and producing collections that have appeared in AD China, ELLE Decoration France, and Room Singapore, among many others. As co-owner of a textile and furniture studio in India, she transformed local practices to open opportunities for women in a city where tradition had closed doors to them. Her commitment to purposeful design was also reflected in philanthropic initiatives, supporting children living in extreme poverty.
In 2020, she founded Unicorn Academy in Shanghai, a design school for children that quickly became a creative hub. Through it, she collaborated with renowned shopping centers on large-scale cultural projects, fostering creativity from an early age.
Her story has been told on the TEDx Shanghai stage and in the classrooms of prestigious universities such as Fudan University, Tongji University and EGADE, where she speaks about design, business and the courage of being a woman and Mexican succeeding in distant markets.
- Today, Wendy leads SMUKT Living & Furniture in the Riviera Maya, creating deeply personal, globally inspired custom interiors and furnishings. She travels constantly, collecting textures, colors, and stories from creative capitals, ensuring her work is always current, yet timeless.

In one of the most exclusive marina-front developments, SMUKT has been chosen to bring to life the show units of Bloom Puerto Aventuras, a real estate project that combines contemporary architecture with a coastal lifestyle. As part of this collaboration, SMUKT offers three exclusive furniture packages Designed specifically for our two- and three-bedroom apartments. Each package has been curated with an aesthetic, functional, and emotional focus, allowing future residents to integrate the SMUKT style into their new home from day one. Bloom Ground Floor Department
This three-bedroom ground-floor apartment was fully furnished and fitted out by SMUKT as a showroom unit. It was designed with a functional and elegant approach, incorporating custom-made furniture that reflects the coastal lifestyle. The living room, dining room, and bedrooms were equipped with exclusive designer pieces, ceiling fans, appliances, a laundry center, kitchen utensils, and decorative elements that allow visitors to experience how it would feel to live in the space from day one. Its terrace, connected to the social area, reinforces the interior-exterior relationship, bringing freshness and fluidity to the design.
Bloom Department First Level
On the first level, SMUKT presents a second showroom with an aesthetic that fuses coastal style with contemporary Mexican design details. The three-bedroom apartment includes a complete set-up with custom-made furniture, fans, a laundry center, kitchen utensils, and interior furnishings that prioritize comfort and naturalness. Its spacious terrace, equipped with sofas and an outdoor dining area, is particularly noteworthy, designed to enjoy the Caribbean climate with style and functionality.
